Again, I am relieved at the prospect of engaging under the competent leadership of Carla Wright. But I will have to admit that it is a bit of a disappointment that I am forced to adapt to the changes at hand.
Two days ago, I received a personal ticker message from Aerrin Campbell, one of a group of "Prefects" appointed by Wright to preserve balance in Galacia to the utmost precision. This message read that Erica and I were to part ways as avatars in the Finbow Legion and to have my avatar join the ranks of a new and emerging Legion led by a new recruit inspired by Wright. At first, I was panicked at this prospect. Erica and I, through our avatars, maintained a very stable relationship between ourselves and our recruits. In fact, we were considered the bastion of hope as Galacia was plunged into chaos at the hands of the Crimson Lion. So for Wright to separate us was, as I perceived it, intolerable.
Last night, Erica and I marched up to the Office of Administrator Carla Wright and demanded that she reconsider. However, Wright refused, stating that this was part of a sector-wide effort to keep balance to the Terraworld Field of Galacia, as dynamics had been so corrupted in the wake of the Crimson Lion that separating Erica and I was unavoidable in order to start again. She explained that she traded Morris Par's avatar to the Prestia sector and divided the Crimson Lion into various chapter-Legions. Over one of these chapter-Legions she placed a commanding avatar played by a new Member, with this avatar gaining incredible skill and power in such a short amount of time.
I left that meeting last night in a storm of fury, which, for a moment, I feared would tarnish my reputation with Carla. But earlier this afternoon, I received a message from her to come meet the new Member behind the avatar under which my avatar would serve.
The new Member's name was Peter Creon, whom Carla had encouraged to join the Society shortly before the semester began. His avatar, Commander Bordon, came in existence only about a week ago, but has now advanced to a position stronger than my avatar and his commanding his own fleet of airships, part of an entity known as the Legion of Camroc.
I feel that there were some favors played in this sense. For my avatar to get to its current position took the entirety of the previous two semesters. After meeting Peter, I spoke to Carla of this concern, to which she responded that she wanted to set a constructive example to the Society on the importance of maintaining a fair balance of dynamics in the Arturian Realm, and that Peter's leadership potential is part of the overall agenda to do so.
I guess I will tolerate this for now.
