Regarding the Fabled Tower of Oron Limus

Numerous explorers set out from Akceji, between 835 and 830 BCE, in the search for the fabled tower of Oron Limus. However, most either returned empty-handed or did not return at all. These expeditions encountered many challenges, including most commonly the Nymians of the Chokian Mountains, who either killed travelers or denied them passage; and the Signats of the Red Desert, who did the same. Aside from the dangers posed by these two nomadic groups, passage over the Mountains and the Desert was also impossible due to geography.

Gavament's Vision

An Akcejian inhabitant named Gavament had a dream in which emerged a vision of a deity of the Circlarian Pantheon, who commanded Gavament to sail a ship around the South Coast of Canticula and up the River of Geljer to seek a "Sea of Purity." Accordingly, on the other side of this Sea would lie the fabled tower of Oron Limus. Following through, Gavament made a proposal to Gera for ships, people, and resources for such an expedition. And Gera granted him with provisions accordingly because he had been a favorite of hers, as they supposedly had a deep "spiritual connection."

The Journey to Ralieus

Gavament and his followers set off in ships from the Mouth of the Midland River, sailed East along the South Coast of Canticula, and landed on the Mouth of the River of Geljer. There, Gavament negotiated with the regional Signat inhabitants, who gave him and his followers safe passage up a path, alongside the River, to the South Shore of Lake Mara. There, they secured, through peaceful means, ships from the Signats and traveled across the Lake toward the North Shore. En route, they encountered a ship piloted by a group of nomadic Parabenians, led by one named Sera. Sera guided Gavament and his followers to the North Shore of the Lake on the Coast of present-day Yarol, from where she led them along a path to the hidden city of Ralieus.

There, Gavament became acquainted with the Ruling Consul, Mareon, who showed him the Lighthouse of Ralieus, a landmark which seemingly fit the description of the fabled tower. This, however, was part of a promise, toward which Gavament was obliged to honor two commitments: to tell of Ralieus and the Lighthouse to no one but Gera; and to allow the Consul's brother, Geldin, to accompany him on the return journey to Akceji.

Return Journey and Establishment

The journey of Gavament and Geldin to Akceji was accompanied by Sera, with whom Gavament had married and conceived a child.

Upon return to Akceji, Gavament presented to Gera the terms given by Mareon. Gera agreed to these but also forbade Geldin from leaving the City. Upon Gera's command, Geldin married her and, with her, had a son named Esolti. Shortly after Esolti's birth, Gera commanded Geldin to travel South to a natural harbor on the Coast and build around a city named after Esolti. Also under her command, Geldin was to be made king of that city, with the crown to be passed to the son, and down a male blood line. However, Geldin, Esolti, and every king thereafter, was to, in turn, bend the knee toward Gera and the Clergy, who ruled over them. Meanwhile, the land around Akceji and Esolti was to be named Timemora, or "Land of Bountiful Harvest."

Sera and Gavament received no benefits from this arrangement. Furthermore, Sera felt that the Priestess Gera had imprisoned Geldin in order to have a stake in the affairs of the city of Ralieus, with Geldin as a hostage. Around 830 BCE, acting toward this sentiment, Gavament and Sera conspired to carry out a coup in order to overthrow Gera as well as liberate Geldin and his son. However, the coup attempt failed; and both Sera and Gavament were executed on Gera's orders. However, shortly before their deaths, Sera had given birth to an unnamed son, who survived the turn of events.
