The Jon Den Administration: Further Actions

The Jon Den Administration responded to the Trust Fund petition with silence. Furthermore, during the month of June 1360, the Administration initiated a program that involved randomly selecting Cabotton students for mandatory recruitment into the growing Esurchian forces in Ancondria. A collection of students gathered for informal meetings in the old Planetarium venue of the Third Level Society to attempt to resist this; but anonymous insiders informed the Den Administration, who promptly closed and condemned the building.

On June 23, Den closed the Hobbes School of Spellcrafting, leasing the building to non-University businesses.

By this time, most Cabotton University classes had been moved to the Basement Level of each of the Five Houses as well as the lower levels of the Administration Building. Then came announcements by the Jon Den Administration that there were plans to close Fleming House, the Administration Building, and the Cabotton Playing Field, also for lease to non-University businesses.

Cabotton Scholar Foundation

Rival factions began threatening the integrity of the Cabotton Scholar Foundation after its failure in the Trust Fund petition agenda. However, Lora Kotimer, Former Headmaster of the University, came forward and led the Foundation in negotiations with the Den Administration. These succeeded in having the Administration agree to pause on further University building closures; thus, hope emerged that there would be more progress made.

By the end of June, the Cabotton Scholar Foundation built upon its chapter in North Kempton, and established new chapters in West Terredon and the House of Masons in Jestopole. The House of Masons had initially been neutral on the subject of the Esurchians, but had turned against them in the wake of the January massacre in Cabotton.

The Cabotton Scholar Foundation also established in the Kingdom of the Great North two additional chapters: one at the University of Daylram and one at the University of Linbrae. The Foundation also began collaborating with the Rangers of the Great North to help Cabotton students, as well as other vulnerable Retunians, to seek asylum there.
