Thus far, after a number of weeks of engagement, I can safely provide what I believe is a sufficient summary of Fenton's project.
The dymensional plane here involves only North Kempton, a realistic simulation of the town at present. The passing of time in this plane factors in only the present and the short-term future. The reason for this is that Fenton and the Gallestons are attempting to form as realistic of a simulation as possible of small-town economic dynamics and town faction dynamics.
North Kempton, as I have come to find out, is kind of a watershed community playing out the consequences of an extremely free market, not the free market we have been used to since the founding of the Republic, but an extremely free market, the one that the new Prime Minister, Edward Jackson, believes in. There are less taxes here. Every business and non-critical infrastructure, that is anything that does not deal with healthcare, fire departments, or police departments, is privately owned. Though they have to pay taxes, still, to the Province and the Federal Government, every business is exempt from taxes to the municipality. And other regulations have been lifted to allow for free competition between privately owned housing estate firms to buy and sell housing properties in order to gain the most profit from the most value added; hence, the reason for the competitive lawn and housing exterior decorations.
North Kempton was, in fact, an example used by Edward Jackson to help him win the 1260 election.
This, obviously, is all very experimental. And although nothing drastic has occurred as of yet, Fenton and I agree that the risks posed by this extreme model might put the community at risk of some sort of catastrophe, though the majority of North Kempton Council disagrees.
Thus, over the course of the last ten years, Fenton and the Galleston family came together to play out the dynamics of North Kempton in the dymensional plane to figure the best alternatives to bring about optimal economic and social balance. Insights from these are hoped by Fenton and the Gallestons to exert some sort of influence over the dynamics of the real North Kempton.
I will say that Oscar Lehman, the avatar, is a prominent Member of the North Kempton Council, although not the Mayor. But the avatar-Council-Members have done well to pass certain tax codes on the richest North Kemptonians and minimizing the taxes on the working individuals.
That is, may I emphasize, the way of things in the dymensional plane version of North Kempton, not the real North Kempton. The real North Kempton has a complete tax break for the upper business management figures as well as their businesses. The income budget for the real North Kempton consists of individual income taxes and voluntary donations.
So far, no one in the real North Kempton is complaining.
When I first arrived, there is no official name for this project or gathering, for even today, they are not an official organization. However, they did come with an informal name for their social gathering: "The Circle."
"The Circle" includes the de facto leader, Cray Fenton; as well as Richard Galleston, the father of the family; Sarah Galleston, Richard's eldest child who is in fact 22 years old; Peter and John Galleston, Sarah's younger twin brothers; Marya Solden, the Galleston family's oldest cousin; Carla Solden, the middle cousin; and then Jack Solden, the youngest cousin; and then of course two of Richard Galleston's closest friends; five of Sarah's friends; one friend of Peter; one friend of John; Marya Solden's fiance and seven of their friends; and finally Jack Solden's best friend.
So in other words, "The Circle" consists of 26 people, with me joining as the 27th.
