Much elapsed during my absence over the weekend. Taylor Lorens and Sarah Marks joined forces and launched a petition because the incumbent University Headmaster, James Lach, motioned for the expulsion of "Mary Kormann" as a student. Everyone knows now that Mary Kormann was Ceri Mains, but this is about the academic file. So Taylor and Sarah began a petition, starting off with about 50 signatures, before presenting it to the Caucus in order to gain more signature. Once that was done, they would send it to the Headmaster.
Peter Crane, most likely as part of a stunt to try and get enough votes to win the Dungeonmaster elections in the coming days, accused Taylor and Sarah of actually conspiring to assist Ceri Mains directly. Kara Martins made a report to the Campus Watch, who then arrested Taylor and Sarah.
That was on Friday. Between then and today, Taylor and Sarah were locked in holding cells on Campus. Meanwhile, Peter Crane was busy applauding Kara's decision.
So today, I met with Julian and Ivella to make a case to University Affairs stressing that Kara's accusations were unfounded. Daniel Carter joined later on supporting us. And so we successfully convinced the University Affairs Office to order Campus Watch to release Taylor and Sarah.
That would have been all and well, amounting only to minor trouble short-lived, had it not been for Julian's sudden announcement that he was no longer interested in keeping his Dungeonmaster position. I understand that this was taxing on his mental health. But to wait until now...?
In any case, he publicly called on Dyla Cormick to run in his place. I feel that Julian was at least right in doing this, for Dyla was a good leader in overseeing the Immersion Console Project, from what I gather. However, I am concerned about the faltering of the opposition in the face of Peter Crane and Kara Martins.
