Ceri Mains is to remain inside the Mount Carris Perimeter in accordance to her demographic and the 1257 Compromise, and is, until her graduation, bound to a strict schedule during which must go to the Holz Finzi Academy by a certain time, then go home to her residence by a certain time. Any deviations from this schedule must be requested and approved.
The second part of the Arbitrator Meeting, however, is that she will be allowed, with supplemental materials sent to her and scholars working in lieu of her presence, be allowed to finish her graduate studies and receive her degree accordingly from Cabotton University; albeit she cannot ever set foot on the Campus in person, herself.
I spoke to Ceri after this. She and I agree that this was a fair arrangement for the time being. However, she and her fellow friends with the Syndrome hemmed inside the Perimeter are dedicated toward gaining eventual freedom of movement and equal standing with their non-afflicted counterparts as Retunian citizens with full rights. That I support as well.
Dyla and the Legalize Darkfire movement are wholly resentful of this decision and have been staging peaceful but regular demonstrations outside the Headmaster's Office, to which Ceri Mains condoned but said for them to have patience.
University Affairs actually took the mental health counselor at face value and decided to toss any consideration to expel Peter Crane. They instead recommended that Peter Crane relinquish his Dungeonmaster position. This was voluntary, however, and Peter declined to pursue that option.
I really do wish for the best in terms of the Society. I feel that they may have encountered worse in the past, actually, and they survived. So I sense that the Society stands a good chance at surviving Peter's shenanigans; of course, I say that with cautious optimism.
Regardless, my things are packed. I leave tomorrow to return to Sari and to normalcy.
