The Treaty of the Kingdoms of the Midland River
In 824 BCE, Gera gave birth to twin sons, which she sent, each accompanied by a Regent to rule until the son came of age, to establish two new Kingdoms: Josohnjon, ruled from Olej; and Ansohnjon, ruled from Nae. That year, Gera and the Clergy summoned leaders of the ten Gerian Kingdoms and led them to sign the Treaty of the Kingdoms of the Midland River.
The Journey of Morodyne
In 823 BCE, Morodyne, a Priestess from Ralieus, was sent to find Geldin, from whom the Ruling Consul, Mareon, had received no word for an extended time. Morodyne reported back to Mareon the situation with Geldin as an assigned ruler under Gera. And knowing that Geldin was formerly a free traveler, serving as a mariner for the city-state of Ralieus, Mareon determined that Geldin was being held against his will. Furthermore, Mareon was angered by Gera's arranged marriage with Geldin, which he determined a violation of Ralian custom.
The Ralian-Akcejian War: October 822 BCE to April 821 BCE
Mareon assembled an army and drafted a campaign to capture Akceji, Esolti, and all of Timemora. This he launched in October 822 BCE. In response, Gera invoked a clause of "mutual defense" as outlined in the Midland Kingdom Treaty. This she did by dispatching the armies of Chufsa, Mykeni, Ne'is'treg, and Nancifra to help fight back Mareon's forces in Timemora; and by dispatching the armies of Nashe, Neehs, Mor's'trah, Josohnjon, and Ansohnjon to launch a surprise attack against Ralieus proper, which was left unprotected. In January 821 BCE, Mareon was captured and executed, as all of his forces were routed; and in April 821 BCE, the city of Ralieus fell under Gera's dominion.
Two New Kingdoms
After the end of the war, Gera had the old city of Ralieus demolished and a new city, named Ralyn, built over top. In this new city, Gera instilled, in 820 BCE, a line of Queens, destined to rule over the newly-established Kingdom of Yarol. Also that year, Gera had established, from what would become the city of Marametar, a line of Queens to rule over the Kingdom of the Red Desert.
