Alan Schott became the next significant former-Member of the Third Level Society to cross over to our camp. But the anxiety he caused me led me to view Timothy Paulson as the more decent of the two ex-Cabottonians.
He suggested that the map should actually cover every municipality in Northrange County and the four surrounding Counties.
That prompted a whirlwind of questions: Who will run the other towns? Should we or should we not include Retun, the capital of the Republic? Should the Mount Carris Perimeter, the infamous darkfire lair of the infamous darkfire cartel leader, Holz Finzi, be included as well? If not, what should be in its place? If so, should it be the darkfire realm like in the real world, with an avatar version of Holz Finzi?
That last question led "The Circle" to explode into quite the chaotic symphony of arguments, some of which were intense. Most memorable was Cray Fenton's cry of outrage over the apparent onset of questing dynamics seen in the Third Level Society, the very dynamics he sought to avoid in the first place.
Of course, to not cast the Mount Carris Perimeter as a darkfire haven was inaccurate with respect to the dymensional plane versus the real world of that region.
But I see Cray Fenton's logic. The objective of our Project is to cast an almost exact replica of the real world rather than introduce compromises to satisfy the desires of a questor.
And then of course comes the financial aspect. Richard Galleston had been funding this project whenever needed with funds from the will of his mother, Grandmother Galleston, who had passed some years previously. But the financial needs of Schott's idea would prove a strain on this fund. It's simply too much. Another funding source would be needed.
I actually came up to Cray Fenton afterward and apologized for the chaos created. He paused and sighed for a second but seemed to forgive me; or at least feign forgiveness, that is.
