Story Seven: Sarah Marks

Up to this point, I have been proud of the changes that my avatar went through, especially after the fall of the White Baroness.

I had admittedly been fascinated with the Underworld on Prestia Minor CCL over which the White Baroness governed; that is, the Underworld that existed before her arrival. My avatar, who I simply called the Great Priestess, had been in residence in the Divineworld over Galacia Minor CCXXXIV. I had advanced quite far enough in terms of level and skills, but I will admit, perhaps out of selfishness, that the Great Priestess was not given the recognition and opportunity that she deserved. I determined last year to go toward assimilation with the Underworld here, where I knew it would take time to regain my equal standing.

Regardless, I felt it was worth it.

But then the White Baroness of Prestia Minor CCL was no more, and its Underworld was free again. Many avatars and daemons had fled that Underworld, meaning that the newly-freed realm was now up for grabs. Pouncing at the opportunity, I accelerated my form-fitting of the Great Priestess, who is now a truly dark and menacing figure; and then purchased a custom spaceship designed by Richard Rohrbaugh to fly over to that world.

Many of my friends believe that since last year with the Meona Bell incident that I had tried to destroy the White Baroness just for this opportunity, which is ludicrous because I truly thought that the White Baroness was invincible, or at least the power vacuum in her absence would be short-lived. It was actually Travis Hunt who had drawn my attention back to Prestia Minor CCL with a unique opportunity.

Travis was originally an inspiration for me because, like myself, he was cast out by his peers in the Divineworld, seen as "not good enough." He took his avatar, Boldo, to the Underworld where he gained acceptance and power. He told me that he was inspired by my story of separating from the Divineworld and form-fitting the Great Priestess in the way that I did.

So there was a mutual contempt toward the class of leaders of our respective Divineworlds.

So Travis and I agreed to take part in the mega-quest to rebuild and mutually govern the Underworld of Prestia Minor CCL, where formerly dwelt the White Baroness.

The one drawback to all this is actually Richard Rohrbaugh's reaction. As I have mentioned, he has been frequenting my personal space quite a bit these days, much admittedly to my annoyance. And tonight, he pulled me aside. I had told Dyla earlier today about everything with Travis; and I guess she told Richard, probably after he asked her all those nosy questions. Now Richard was trying to sway me away from all this.

"If I had known what your intent was, I wouldn't have helped you attain those spaceships of mine," Richard said. "I don't know what Travis has planned but he and the other Sarah seem...suspicious."

Richard was, of course, talking about Sarah Jonn. Sarah Jonn is a new Member os the Society, quiet and shy. So at this point, Richard is just simply getting out of hand.

I talked with Dyla over this and found out how unrelenting he was about my quest in terms of questioning her. Dyla suggested that I take this up with the Bookkeeper, but I decided to let this one slide.

I know how much of an enabler the Bookkeeper is with Peter Crane; and I just don't want to get tangled with Peter Crane more than I have to.
