Third Level Society: First Version
Story Two: Meon Bell
08 November 1248

The past month has been rather busy, with the intense University studies and Landon's campaign for Dungeonmaster. But I will say this: my sense of the Society being in good hands after Ogden's departure has been reinforced with Landon's victory.

Mordon Cramer had emerged in early October and stated that he would try and clinch the Dungeonmaster position. When it became apparent that no one was taking him seriously, Cramer not only abandoned his counter-campaign, he seemingly left the Society altogether.

In fact, I wonder if he even left the University, for the last time I saw him was at the Slack on the night of October 17. He was waiting outside the entrance, leaning on the light post lining the entrance's left side with his fedora tipped to cover his face. When he looked up and saw me, he briskly walked away, down the path toward the West side of campus.

Carla Wright has not been saying much about him other than that he was "rather pushy, then suddenly elusive," blaming him for Peter Creon's withdrawal from the Society, which I learned with a great deal of sadness. Whether or not Cramer may have pushed his agenda with romantic intent is something about which I am not sure. I dared not press Carla about it.

Aside from Cramer, Landon was virtually unopposed. So the victory was inevitable.

Atop this outcome, our Prefect policy has been adapted in the other four sectors of the Arturian Realm. And a preliminary poll shows overwhelming majorities in all five sectors approving of this new Prefect policy.

Ivella Ogden's tenure as the first Dungeonmaster will end this January. No doubt, this will be the end of an important chapter. But Zachary Landon will make a very fine successor.
