As planned, for the first week of June, I went to Tandowyn, where I met with a lead scholar named Marya Kormol. She presented a study she spearheaded at a conference on a business figure who lived during the Early Retunian Republic. This business figure started a pyramid scheme based on false claims that the Chemkan Bees were still alive, and was later caught and prosecuted. However, this set a precedent for other people, like Shawn Enroy, to scam people like me. And this has been happening with increasing frequency in recent decades, leading to frustration over "constant fires having to be put out."
And as the Esurchians continue to infiltrate Retunian Society more and more deeply, they have taken these Chemkan Bee scams to the extreme, even going so far as to challenge fact-checkers legally.
This has been quite a revelation for me, and one on an emotionally devastating scale. However, for the Chemkan Bees to be gone for good... I refuse to accept that as an absolute truth in the absence of any damning evidence I have yet to come across.
So my agenda has shifted to not proving Kormol wrong, per se, but to hopefully find Chemkan Bees somewhere to prove to her that there is an exception to the general conclusion that she is implying. Dr. Jaynes says that this is a stretch, but he still supports this.
Regardless, this trip was a welcome distraction from something even more distressing. On May 18, as I feared, Jon Den, still serving as the Cabotton University Chief Administrator but also assuming Headmaster powers as the University is currently without one, officially handed the Third Level Society a notice of eviction from Cabotton University grounds, effective September 2.
This, of course, sent a wave of shock throughout Society Membership, as well as triggered a chorus of denials. Karyanna Dwemmer somehow found a reason to blame me, renewing her false accusation that I was a Stamp Insider. This sentiment was fueled by former "Stampers" throughout the University who, since Stamp's resignation, ramped up the spreading of lies about the Third Level Society engaging in "witchcraft." Jon Den bought into this.
I saw this coming for a very long time. But regardless, venue-searching had proven so difficult that, by the time Jon Den gave us the eviction notice, we still hadn't found a venue big enough to hold the Third Level Society assets that Cabotton University has held since the year 1231. This led to three sleepless nights for me, most of which were spent in long meetings with Heather Walker and numerous Caucus subcommittees, as well as an all-out special session with the entire Caucus.
On May 21, we all realized that, ultimately, there would never be a venue found quite like the one we have here. So we came to a difficult resolution: to split the Third Level Society into three Chapters, based on the three largest available venues. The first Chapter would be in South Masonia, the second in Uhlstead, and the third in North Kempton. As a result, the Dungeonmaster role would be split into three Chapter Leaders: one for each Chapter.
And today was the day that this transition would take place. It has done so successfully, by the way. And on September 24, each Chapter will elect its Chapter Leader.
I have decided not to run for any of those Leader positions. In fact, even though I am dropping out of Cabotton University and moving back to North Kempton, I have decided to move on from the Society. And Heather is right with me on this, having dropped out of both as well. So as of today, I am done with the University, and I am done with the Society. I may enroll in another academic institution or university in the future, once either this so-called Esurchian Occupation is over or I, perhaps, move to the Great North if the Esurchians really have their way here.
From this point forward, my focus will be solely on the Chemkan Bee project.
